Over the course of this weekend past it has been revealed that Israel entry requirements have been further eased for all travellers intending to visit the country in the coming weeks and months.
News over Israel’s entry requirements being reduced came out as the country authorities stated it’s seen and is continuing to see an “ongoing decrease” in the number of reported cases of Covid-19 over the past months since their last entry restrictions relaxation.
According to this change to Israel entry requirements that went into effect yesterday on Sunday the 9th of October, travellers to the destination will no longer need to fill out an entry form prior to arrival. This was one of the only Covid-related entry rules still remaining following Israel relaxing most other restrictions earlier this year.
On Tuesday the 17th of May this year, it was announced by Israel’s ministry of health that these initial rules were to be eased on the 21st of May.
These relaxations consisted off allowing international travellers to enter the country without the need for proof of a full course of an approved vaccination programme. It also meant travellers who weren’t vaccinated didn’t need proof that they had recovered from Covid within the last few months or proof of a negative pre-departure test.
Travellers were, however, still required to fill out a passenger entry declaration pre-departure. Now, as of the 9th of October, travellers from all around the world no longer need to follow any of these rules to enter Israel.
There are still a few cautions against all but essential travel to some parts of Israel on the Foreign Travel Advice page, so we recommend keeping up to date with any live updates on the government website from the FCDO in case of these changing and for more details on entry requirements.
