All Egypt Entry Rules Are Removed For Travellers

In a move celebrated by many tour operators, all Egypt entry rules have now been removed for all travellers to the summer destination.  

This was announced on Thursday the 16th of June after the decision was reportedly made during a meeting between Egyptian prime minister Moustafa Madbouly and members of the country’s Supreme Committee for the Management of the Epidemiology and Health Pandemic Crisis. This was reported the same day by a number of local and international sources. 

Previously, all visitors to Egypt were required to provide evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours pre-departure or provide evidence of a full course of vaccination or a certificate of recovery from Covid. 

Now that all Egypt entry rules have been removed, from Friday the 17th of June, all travellers will be able to enter Egypt without any Covid-related restrictions. This action has been welcomed by many tour operators that are excited to send clients off to Egypt restrictions-free. 

As one of the most popular destinations on the African continent, this is a great opportunity for travellers and travel businesses to satisfy the greater travel demand in the summer of 2022 with even less restrictions to make travellers hesitant. 

Although the FCDO have not updated the Foreign Travel Advice page yet with this information, this update is expected to come shortly so travellers can find out more details on entry to Egypt.
