Bermuda Entry Rules Eased Earlier than Planned

Despite previous announcements, Bermuda entry rules for all travellers have been set to ease this month 16 days ahead of the destination’s original schedule. This move was reportedly made to “streamline the overall travel experience” for future visitors. 

Following this announcement, on the 14th of November Bermuda entry rules will be relaxed as planned. The travel authorisation (TA) process will be scrapped. There will no longer be a requirement for this TA, the $40 fee, proof of vaccination status, or proof of medical insurance (further details on these developments will be available on the Foreign Travel Advice page). 

To replace this current system, once the Bermuda entry rules have been eased, a new, simpler system is set to be put in place. The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) will replace the current system with the reinstated Bermuda Arrival Card. The Bermuda Arrival Card will be a digital form for all travellers that was last in place before the Covid pandemic hit in 2020.  

This schedule is being moved forward after the Bermuda government originally set out the plan for the 30th of November. This is in a bid to make the travel experience run smoother for upcoming travellers, leaving the destination open for some excellent holidays sooner than anticipated.  

Vance Campbell, Bermuda’s Tourism Minister, said, “Our government has delivered on its pledge to protect the health and safety of our residents and visitors and now with the earlier end date for the TA, travel to Bermuda will be simpler for our visitors.”
