Three years on from the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, Brazil has officially announced the removal of all remaining Covid-related travel rules for international travellers looking to enter the country.
This comes following the same progress from many other popular summer destinations and just in time for the holiday season. It also comes just in time for the plans of several travel businesses looking to expand their Brazil market in the aftermath of the pandemic’s effects on travel.
According to the latest update on the Foreign Travel Advice page, travellers to the South American country will no longer need to follow pandemic-related rules to enter. International travellers to Brazil will no longer be required to provide evidence of a vaccine, nor will they need to show evidence of recovery from Covid.
Travellers vaccinated or unvaccinated will also no longer be required to show proof of a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 24 or 72 hours of departure.
The FCDO update added, “If you think you have Covid-19 symptoms, you should self-isolate for 14 days. You should only go to hospital if you are feeling breathless.”
This is fantastic news for many businesses looking to expand their Latin American destinations market, and travellers excited to explore somewhere new this coming summer.
